Secrets in MLM - 3 Way Calling In Your MLM Home Business

You need to have an understanding of what 3 way calling is. It seems to be an effective way to do a MLM home business.



For people who don't know what a 3 way call is: You call your upline, and give them a short background on the prospect, (name, age, occupation etc). After you informed your upline you call the prospect and you will have both parties on the line.



During this 3 way call you can listen to your sponsor how he prospects. It's a kind of 'earn while you learn experience'. Your sponsor is there to help you and guide you in the early stages of your business. At first sight you think this is a really good tool to grow your MLM home business.



But does it position yourself as an expert? I don't think so and here is why. Suppose you are going to buy new running shoes, because you like running more and more and want some good advices about running shoes. So you start asking a few questions. You ask the simple ones first "does it come in blue and white?". The salesman answers that he thinks so. You ask how many miles you can run on these shoes. The salesman replies "well actually, let me just get an expert on the phone for you. He knows all about these shoes and can answer all your questions". So you get the running shoe expert on the phone and he tells you all about it and competently answers your questions. You then buy the perfect fitting running shoes.



This same situation is happening in your own MLM home business. And believe me, you don't have to have all the answers, but train yourself in prospecting and do some research about the products. And if there is a tough question, just reply that it's a great question and not been asked before. Grab a cup of coffee, I'll just find out for you and be back in a couple of minutes".



Spend the time to become the expert in your business, treat it like it is your business and position yourself. I'll promise you that it gives you a lot more satisfaction and dedication!



In conclusion, starting and developing a MLM home business can be lucrative if someone knows how to market effectively. Like any business, success will be determined by the skill-set of the marketer. The potential to grow a huge business is there, just not with outdated marketing techniques.

2. Place an add in your local yellow pages publication. It doesn't have to be huge, elobrate, or expensive. Something modest, but consistenly run will do. Readers become comfortable with ads they have seen before. After your ad runs a feww times, you will be surprised how many people begin to feel they can trust giving your ad a try. Additionaly, it can be quite an added attraction to couple your local ad with such things as special discount offers in the ad.



3. Send everyone in your zip code a postcard announcing a sale at your place of business. AND have them bring in the postcard to receive the discounted price.



4. Become the local expert in your business field by being nterviewed on the radio. AND include a special phone number for customers to call during the broadcast to get more information.



5. Give a speech at the Chamber of Commerce. AND hand out problem solving brochures with your address, phone number and a special code number for customers to use to get a discount.



Many business owners regard marketing only as a necessary evil. They would rather concentrate on their core business activities. But when they use these simple methods to harness the powerful secret to getting more customers, they can eliminate the pain of marketing. Then their businesses will be truly successful in bringing in more customers, more money and more profits.

There are millions of people around the globe who are currently running or would like to run their own business from home. The majority of these are network marketers. Having been around the industry for 10 years, I've come across many of the challenges and problems that face networkers, whether they are experienced or newbies. Among those, I've identified 5 main issues that network marketers face today:



1- Leads. The biggest problem that people face in the industry is generating leads. Finding new people on a consistent basis that you can expose your business to is crucial. Most people do not expose their business to enough quality people on a daily basis to get the results that they need.

2-Follow up is the next problem area. When the home business owner does expose his/her business to people, they do not always follow up effectively. They either do not follow up at all, or they don't follow up consistently enough to get results.

3- Duplication and training. Once the networker begins to enroll people into his/her business, the next problem that comes is getting their new partners trained effectively in order to duplicate what they have done and what others have done to be successful.

4- Marketing tools. Everyone needs effective marketing tools to help them leverage their time by doing presentations for them. In this day and age, a web presence is essential. You need to have cutting edge online marketing tools at your disposal. The company that you represent usually provides a website or websites, but they are typically very ineffective marketing tools.

5- The final problem facing network marketers is credibility. Most don't have any. Especially if you are new and haven't earned any money yet. Most people end up chasing their prospects to try to get them to look at their business, when you really need to have posture and have prospects, interested prospects, chasing you.



So what's a person to do when building an MLM business, and how do you make sure you have a solution to all the problems listed above? When it comes to lead generation, there are a plethora of ideas and information out there on ways to generate leads. There's your warm market, referrals, buying leads, the 3 foot rule, advertising in periodicals and newspapers, drop cards, cold calling, and various online methods.



In order to have the success you want, you need to incorporate more than one of the available methods of prospecting. This is how you can automate the training process to get the duplication you need. The information needs to be the same for everyone, so they are getting a full dose of the right information and not a watered down version.



Finally, in order to attract prospects and get them to chase you and want to join your business, you need to be perceived as an expert. You do this by providing valuable information to help and educate others without asking for anything in return. The prospects will see you as a giver, a person of knowledge and expertise, a leader, and they will want to work and associate with you.



The key solution to all of these problems is to have a system that comprises all of these components together to assist you to build your business. It should allow you to leverage your time, while you concentrate on the most importing thing in building your business—marketing!

Six Reasons For the 97% Failure Rate in Network Marketing

Why do 97% of people who try to make a living 9or a fortune) with Network Marketing or MLM fail miserably? The answer to this question is so simple, but we'll get to that.



The problem is NOT entirely the network marketing industry, but, to a great extent, failure occurs because of the mindset of the people getting involved in network marketing and affiliate marketing. Most people have had little success in other areas of life. When they get involved with a network marketing business they already have a pre-established notion that they will fail, even if they are not consciously aware of it.



There are 6 attitudes or reasons that should be considered when trying to build a successful network marketing business. Here are 6 potholes in the road to success in network and affiliate marketing:



1.) The easy road to wealth. There is no free lunch! Many people who are enamored with the idea of becoming wealthy think that, simply by signing up with a network marketing business or as an affiliate of a business, they have won the lottery. They buy their ticket and collect the money. No matter what the hypnotic hype implies, this is NOT how it works.



2.) They are told and believe that if they start at a higher level, they won't have to work as hard. Some MLM companies allow you to buy a higher status, which allows you to purchase products at a lower rate. This allows the rep to make a higher commission for each sale. Buying in at a higher level doesn't replace good old fashion diligence! Starting on a higher level, simply put, means that you have invested more money, which means that you will have to work harder to recover your investment. Beginning in your company in a higher position does not mean that you have already built your downline, which is where your success lies.



3.) Falling for the promise that your up line will recruit people for you. Waiting and hoping that your up line will give you new distributors will guarantee your failure. If you are with a company that has a binary compensation plan, then it is easy to get caught up in this mindset. It is not your up line's job to build your business for you, unless they receive a matching compensation for the new recruit. This is rarely the case. Most likely when your up line gives you a few new reps, it usually is for their benefit more than yours.



4.) Laziness! The hard to swallow pill, Laziness!" Building a business takes time and a great deal of effort. A half-hearted attitude will produce little to no results. Successful businesses have been created by diligence and a 'success' attitude.



5.) The Greed appeal Anyone who looks at the 'hyped up' headlines in the MLM industry can see that the greatest majority of these headlines are outright lies or misconceptions. When closely scrutinized, these 'tag lines' are designed to excite the greed in the potential affiliate. The copywriters for these offers do absolutely nothing but bait those who are gullible enough to believe the outrageous claims of 'wealth without effort.'



6.) Lack of proper training Too often people are led to believe that they will be trained by their up line in the latest marketing skills to insure their success. Even with the best intentions, this is not usually the reality. As the number of Internet users grows (and it is growing exponentially) the technology is growing exponentially. What worked in the early days of Internet Marketing does not work today. The old techniques of 'screaming your offer to anyone within three feet of you' or 'badger you family friends and strangers with your offer because they need your product but don't realize it yet' will only alienate everyone from you.



There is a fresh new attitude or marketing mindset that will bring success. Proper training and the willingness to work diligently to grow your business is a key factor in your success.



The 3% who are making an absolute fortune on the Internet have done this because of their nose-to-the-grindstone work ethic. They do not use the outdated, rehashed garbage that is fed to the multitudes of Internet Opportunity seekers. They use techniques that are tried and true and are very rarely shared.



The 97% failure figure of Network Marketing correlates with the 80% failure figure in the 'brick and mortar' world. 80% of all new businesses fail within their first year (for basically the same reasons.) Does this mean that no one should start a business? Absolutely not!



This means: 1.) research, 2.) plan, 3.) seek wise counsel, 4.) create within yourself an attitude of diligence, and 5.) prepare to work as hard as is necessary to realize your goals.

25 Ways to Make More Money in Network Marketing

Success in network marketing and MLM depends on developing successful habits and approaches to building your business. The following 25 actions will help you make more money in network marketing and build your business big.


1) Believe in and use your products regularly. Knowing your products is crucial to your success.


2) Know what you want from your business. Set realistic goals and targets for how much you want to make, when, and why. Write these goals and targets down.


3) Make a strong commitment to your business and take action. Do something to build your business each and every day.


4) Study and learn ways to be successful in network marketing and MLM. Learn from your successful upline and other industry leaders.


5) Be committed to helping your downline succeed. Focus on what they need, and what they want to achieve. Help them do it and you will get what you want as well.


6) Make yourself easily accessible. Be sure you have voice mail and a reliable email address. Avoid using free "throwaway" email addresses.


7) Always respond to emails and return calls promptly. This encourages your downline and "wows" your prospects. This sets you apart because many network marketers won't do this.


8) Follow up with prospects and customers. If they ask for information, get it to them quickly and contact them to make sure they received it.


9) Don't quit. The first three months in network marketing and MLM are the toughest. You have to persevere to find the success you desire.


10) Just do it. Life sometime gets in the way of working your business. Sometime discouragement sets in because there seems to be no time to do anything. You have to make the time.


11) Maintain a strong work ethic. Build your business one downline associate, one customer at a time. When things seem to be moving slow, hang in and keep going.


12) Be aware and listen to concerns voiced by your downline associates and customers. Don't assume these will go away - deal with them.


13) Praise your downline associates when they have success. You may think that success is sufficient motivation to keep going, but everyone responds well to recognition and praise.


14) Work your business every day. Be consistent. Some days this will be very hard - but always find something you can do to keep moving forward.


15) Use the tools you have and work with your circumstances. There is never a "perfect" time to build your business. Every top achiever has overcome less than ideal circumstances at some point.


16) Be patient and steady. It takes time to build your business and achieve your goals. Find customers and treat them well. Sponsor and train downline associates one at a time.


17) Nobody likes the word "no". You will hear this far more than you like. Don't take it personally - a "yes" is right around the corner. A "no" to your opportunity is not a "no" to you personally.


18) Understand that change in inevitable. Your company may make a change you don't like at some point. Human nature is to resist change. Be flexible for success.


19) Organizing your business is important, but don't go overboard. You need to be talking to people. Know that excessive organizing is often due to a fear of taking action.


20) Maintain a professional appearance. Dress neatly and look successful. Look in the mirror - would you want to talk about a home business opportunity with you?


21) Use sharp promotional materials. Don't make copies of brochures or print out information from the web. Use the original material provided by your company.


22) Be open to learning and use proven business building methods. Re-inventing the wheel is a common mistake. It's okay to be creative, but within reason.


23) Keep with the network marketing / MLM industry. Be aware of what other companies are doing. You will often talk to prospects who are considering other opportunities besides yours.


24) Be willing to take risks and invest money into advertising and promoting your business. Don't try to do everything on the cheap. Be wise, but do step out in faith.


25) Finally, and this is the big one - understand that YOU are the determining factor in your success. "If it's to be, it's up to ME."

MLM or Network Marketing - What is it Really?

MLM is considered basically a channel of distribution for goods and services that also can have a "Franchise" opportunity attached. You can join a network marketing company and build a representative group or team that you can obtain royalties from, and build an override structure from what they do.



And most people look at MLM as exactly that: a system for creating wealth through your efforts and the efforts of others!



Nothing wrong with that point of view: however, there is a huge gap in that reality. Before you can build a group that does not go away, you MUST understand what MLM really is from a big picture viewpoint ... and all the rest will fall into place.



Network Marketing actually is this: Personal Development, wonderfully moulded into a business, that can be duplicated: over and over again!



Do you get that?



Please do yourself a favour and read it again.



What that means is MLM requires and pretty much demands Personal Growth and Personal Development from you in order for you to succeed.



There is no other way to succeed: here is the recipe .... Grow yourself: Grow your business!



Many people bring damaged attitudes, skills and habits to MLM, and with that, they try to build a business with skills that guarantee failure.



No, they don't plan to fail, they just have not developed the necessary skills to the level that is required to succeed in an MLM environment...simple and plain. Those skills cannot produce success because they are not prepared and ready for success.

  3. How to train your team members most effectively; and
  4. How to duplicate the entire process and pass it on to others.
And how you do all of that will depend on the skillset you bring to your business; especially your communication skills.



Your results depend on one thing in the MLM environment, and everything else revolves around it: Creating great relationships through communicating with people!



A huge part of good leadership is knowing and practising masterful communication, and no matter how good you are with people, you must have a masterful skillset to communicate with people, and that is where Personal Growth is so important.



You must grow and develop your skills to the level that any MLM business demands: and that requires work, study, and that personal experience in the field that I mentioned earlier.



Most of the success stories did not come into network marketing with those skills already intac: they grew into the business .... day by day.... week by week .... call by call .... One small step at a time!



They worked their way to success through personal development and mastery in communication: Two key steps to both MLM and Leadership Success.



Therefore: Network Marketing is ....

  1. A channel and business of distributing products or services;
  2. A business of "Mini Franchises" that can be duplicated easily;
  3. A direct sales business; and
  4. A 'people business' for average people to grow to do extraordinary things!


As anyone who is seriously involved in network marketing, you are in the business of touching and changing people's lives .... Including your own!
